Fausto Boniferro

April 27, 1950 - February 3, 2024

Fausto Boniferro, born April 27th, 1950, passed away Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Born to the late Ernesto and Gina Boniferro in Figline Vegliaturo, Italy, Fausto immigrated to Canada at the age of one and grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He completed his economics and subsequent law degree at UWO before embarking on a distinguished 40-year career as a corporate lawyer, first at Shepherd McKenzie and then Siskinds.

Fausto is foremost remembered for his gentle nature and kindness, closely followed by his avid love of sports – most notably the Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Lions and University of Michigan football team. Fausto was well-known for his dry wit and sarcastic humour, and he cherished get-togethers with friends and family. Fausto was also a voracious reader and had a passion for music. He enjoyed volunteering, including in an executive role at Orchestra London, teaching a Bar Admissions course and interviewing potential medical and dental school students at UWO for many years.

Fausto is survived by his devoted wife, Nanette; siblings: Tom (Mary), Angela (Don), Marisa (Angelo); and his treasured children: Scott, Neil, Corbin (Paige) and Emily (Ross); stepsons, Chris (Sara) and Mark (Carrie); and many nieces and nephews. Perhaps his most cherished role was as Papa to Hayden, Keira, Liam, Jacob, Kenny and Mylah. A very humble man who was rich in experience and friendships, his memory will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Fausto’s Life will take place on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Sunningdale Golf Club, 465 Sunningdale Road West, London. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to the following organizations that were hugely supportive during Fausto’s battle with Lewy Body Dementia. I just learned of Fausto's passing and want to share my condolences. Fausto was my corporate lawyer, trusted advisor, and friend of over 25 years. I looked forward to every meeting with him and learned, grew, and profited from his advice. He was undeniably brilliant, yet refreshingly humble and genuine. The world's lost one of the best. May he rest in peace.

We were extremely lucky to have Fausto as our lawyer in both our business and personal lives. He was the consummate professional but always used his sense of humour to make every meeting just a little better! We appreciated everything he did for us and can’t overstate what a kind, gentle man he was… the definition of a true gentleman. We were privileged to have known him. We won’t be able to attend his Celebration of Life but please know our thoughts are with your family at this time. Sincerely Dave and Sheila LeClair

A donation has been made to Mount Hope. Message from the donator: Kathy and I extend our deepest condolences. Fausto was a very special person. We cherish many fond memories, extending all the way back to law school and Henry's time as Fausto's roommate in Toronto during the Bar Admission course. It was a further privilege to have practiced law with Fausto during the later years of practice, as part of the Siskinds firm. We are sad that we will be away when the celebration of life is scheduled. Fausto and all of his beloved family will remain in our thoughts. Henry and Kathy Berg

Fausto was the definition of a "true gentleman". He was nothing but kind and gentle with all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He welcomed me into his family when I dated and married his sister in-law and was the best "Uncle Fuzzy" to our two girls. He was adored by everyone and did everything and anything for his family. He loved talking sports, the Jays, the Lions and the Wolverines.. Fausto you will be truly missed by all. Love always , Darren, Catherine, Madison and Sarah Worth RIP Faust!!!!! GOOO LIONS!!!!!!
