I have the fondest thoughts of "Mother" or "Grandma Thody". Her capacity to be positive and excited about life is what I remember most. And her appetite! I'm thinking of all the stories that will be shared in the next few days and I am glad I was fortunate enough to be there for some of them. In a world where cynicism abounds, she carried on preferring to believe the best about people.

What a beautiful photo of Gramma. It shows the love, light, and Integrity that she displayed through out her life. My love to all the family during this time.

To the Thody Family: Fabulous photo of Ev...she was such a great, gentle, positive lady. We met when my daughter Lori and Barb became schoolmates at Mrs. Semple's nursery school at the "Y" on Wellington...we became instant friends and enjoyed our girl's connection thru nursery school, St. George's and Central. Ev was a determined woman - her mission to get her RN was not to be denied. My thoughts are with you, and I send my deepest and sincere sympathy

~ Marsha Fulton (O'Neill)

I would like to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of Mrs. Thody. I am thinking of all of you at this time. I must explain however who I am. Years ago John and several others swam under Dr. Paul Hauch and I remember John as a lifeguard at Gibbons pool if I am not mistaken. We all had a lot of fun together. You may remember my sister Willie as well. I often walk my dog in the cemetery where your parents are now buried. Both my mom and dad are there as well. I've walked by the headstone hundreds of times before and when I read the death notice I realized it must be John's family. I wanted to make the connection and once again send my thoughts and prayers your way. Sincerely Erika Mittelhamm
