Peacefully at Highview Residences on Wednesday, June 26th, 2013, Elly Freida Willen (nee Becker) of London in her 72nd year. Predeceased by her loving husband Rudy Willen. Loving mother of Cindy Goble and her husband Monte and Rudy Willen and his wife Lisa. Also loved by her four grandchildren Alex, Sara, Michael and Grace. Dear sister of Melida Goretzky and her husband Helmut in Germany, Meta Willenbrecht and her husband Helmut of Toronto, Albert Becker and his wife Marlees in Germany. Predeceased by her brothers Arthur and Ewald Becker of Germany. Also dear sister-in-law to Erika Greer of Woodstock. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews both in Germany and Canada. A very special thank you to the outstanding nurses and staff at Highview Residences for their exceptional care. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1 Frank Place, London, on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Elly are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society.

I have wonderful memories of your mother, my Tante Elly. She will be missed by many. I do see much of her in both her children. "What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal"(author unknown). Elly did so much for so many--it will be many lifetimes before her memory fades. May God comfort you at this time. We love you, Edith and Jeff.
