Elizabeth “Beth” Bailey (nee Kenny)
March 25, 2018
On March 25, 2018, surrounded by her family, Beth passed away at the age of 66, after a four month battle with cancer. A Mom first and foremost, she will be forever missed and loved by her daughters Tara (Sam) and Carling (Chris). Second only to being a mother, Beth’s happiest role was that of Mimi to her 2 grandchildren, Brennan and Lucy Elizabeth, the lights of her life. “Bethio” will be forever missed by her mother Shirley. The eldest of 5 children, Beth’s loss will be felt always by her siblings Brenda, Raymond (Polly), Sharen (Brian), and Judi (Marlon).
Beth had a selfless spirit and always put others before herself. She was a loving friend to so many, a wonderful aunt & great aunt, a caregiver, a listener, and dog owner. Her dog and most trusted companion Sassi will miss her immensely. A lover of the outdoors, of walking, the lake, blueberry picking, baking, her life was grounded in her deep and unshakeable belief in the love of Jesus Christ. Beth is home now with her Saviour and Messiah. “But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands; Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.” Psalm 31:14-16

To her two wonderful daughters Tara and Carling, I want to send my deepest condolence of my friend Beth, who if it was not for Carling befriending Catherine when we arrived in Fonthill in 1995 from Toronto, I would not have had a friend who enjoyed sharing her talent of baking for either Jennifer's or Catherine's family birthday parties. My Italian family was so impressed on how she was giving of her talent and time to giving us shear pleasure of tasting her amazing baking. Beth was always an amazing listener and was always there for me during my difficult times of having a brain injured husband. I got to know Jesus endless love for me because of Beth, which I am truly thankful for and the bible study with her friend Tanya, Joanne and myself. I understand that God puts people in their lives when they need them and Beth Bailey was that amazing person. She will always be loved and remembered. I will miss you Beth but know that you are in a wonderful place of joy, love and peace. Your friend, Marcie

With deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved mother. I was shocked when I read the obituary in The Voice. May your beautiful memories of your time together and the knowledge that she touched many lives ease your pain. You're in my thoughts. A Hurricane Road neighbour.
Sincere condolences to the entire family. I did not know Beth, but I do know how much she is loved and how much she will be missed by her loving family, her daughters , grandchildren, siblings, mother, nieces, nephews, friends and fur babies. May your memories sustain you today and always and her faith give you strength. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mackevicius family, friend of Adams family. Xo
Two of the best and most loving memories that are on my mind when I think of Beth Bailey is: I remember one time asking Beth if 'Beth' was short for Elizabeth and she said yes but that it wasn't her first name so I asked her, "What is your first name?" Beth told me that it was Kathleen and then said her full name was Kathleen Elizabeth Kenny Bailey. I asked Beth "how come we call her Beth then?" She said that when she was born, her mother called her 'Beth' and it stuck. Another time I remember, I asked Beth if she could come to the church I was going to at the time. She said she didn't know if she would have time to come but that she would try. I think about a week passed and I still didn't know if Beth was coming to church that Sunday so it took me by surprise when my kids Sunday school class was invited to join the adult Sunday service and I walked into the sanctuary and Beth was sitting with my parents because she was able to come and visit me for a little bit before she was moving to Sudbury. What made that day even more special was it happened to be Mother's Day, Beth was very much a second mom to me as well as a best friend and I will miss her so much until I see her in heaven.
Our condolences to the family, we are very sorry for your loss in Beth's passing. It's been difficult this week to be able to write down how someone had always brought sunshine to your family with every visit even when it rained!! I remember being so surprised when Beth showed up at the Race Track in Cayuga where we raced our 1/4 mile drag car; when I asked Beth what on earth she was doing there she said she promised my daughter, Jocelyne, that she would be there that day! Beth was the closest thing to a best friend Jocelyne ever had. Before taking Jocelyne somewhere or giving her gifts, Beth always asked for my approval of the location or gift even after I gave Beth complete free-hand towards Jocelyne, Beth continued to ask for my approval, she said she didn't want to overstep her boundaries because Jocelyne meant so much to her that she didn't want to do anything that would cause us to stop her from seeing Jocelyne!! Jocelyne is crushed at the loss of Beth. We know Beth has touched many lives in a special way but Beth had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person to her. Beth is truly missed!!!! The only comfort we have is that we will see her again someday. The Morin family
To the Kenny Family, Beth and I basically grew up together and though time and distance separated us she has and always will hold a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you now. Sincerely, Pat Miller
Remembering a very kind Parkdale Crescent neighbour, who quietly lived her faith through all of life's daily challenges. We want to express our sincere sympathy to Tara and Carling and your families. Your Mom loved you very much, and was always so proud of all of your accomplishments. Along with you we are assured that Beth is now with her Saviour. With our sympathy, Lee & Shelley Winger
