Edward Victor ‘Smitty’ Smith

Peacefully on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 at Parkwood Institute, at the age of 95. Smitty was a World War II Veteran who will be sadly missed by his wife, Joan; daughters, Joan (Bob) and Diana (Tony); and son, Geoffrey (Joanne). Proud Grandpa of Toby, Lisa, Scot (Judy), Kris (Stacy) and Stephen (Emily). Missed by eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. At the family’s request there will not be a service. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Smitty are asked to consider the Veterans Care Program through Parkwood Institute. Special appreciation to all of the staff at Parkwood Institute as well as Smitty’s friends in Veterans Care.

I am very sad to hear about Smitty. I will always carry loving memories of him, especially when he was here in Victoria.

So very sorry to hear of Smitty's passing. He was a lovely man. We enjoyed talking with him very much. We will miss him on our visits to the VCP.
