Edward George Wolanski

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed Wolanski on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010, at the age of 78 years. Ed was the much loved husband and soulmate of Ollie, his wife of 52 years. He will be deeply missed by his children Linda, Darryl, Aimee, and Wayne; his nephew Brian Crookes and partner Veronica Pereira; his son-in-law Louis Laurenzi; his daughter-in-law Lynn McNair; and his brother Bill and sister-in-law Bella. Ed was also the beloved Gido of Ryan, Michael, Brendan, Benjamin, Cameron, and Kate. Ed will forever be remembered for his optimism, integrity, generosity, passion for learning, and unconditional love for his family. Visitation will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with prayers at 3:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Parish, 511 Cheapside Street, on Saturday, May 29th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at 12:00 noon at St. Michael’s Parish. The family would like to thank Dr. Grace, Dr. Ahmad, Dr. Blake, Dr. Cordy, Dr. Malthaner, Dr. Moist, the staff at the Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic, and the staff at Victoria Hospital, for their exceptional care and compassion.
