Peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, September 23rd, 2012, Mr. Edgar W. “Ted” Chown, of London, in his 90th year. Survived by his loving wife Betty and his children Arlene and Brian, Blair and Linda, Bruce and Emily and Bill. Proud Grandpa of 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Thursday, September 27th, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation two hours prior. Private family interment at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ted are asked to consider the Elevator Fund at the Byron Legion or the London Regional Cancer Programme.

The McGrattan's and the Chown's were more than neighbours for over 20years -we were family. Ted was our "second" dad growing up and we will miss him. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you Betty and your family at this difficult time.

Betty and Family: Our sincere condolence to you and your family on the passing of Ted. When working on a project at Dearness I often thought of the years he and I worked together and his gentle, supportive and nurturing manner. If memory serves me well the "cubbies" have lost a loyal fan, Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am very sorry to here of Ted's passing. I have many fond memories of time spent with the Chowns. The Ticats will miss their #1 fan.
