Dearest Douglas; we were so priveleged to have you in our lives. At this time the understanding of what has happened is still something we fight to gain. How much you had yet to give the world cannot be known but that you would have given we tryely beleive. Your wonderful Spirit fills us at this time, we've so many wonderful Doug stories to tell, to know, to help us with this great consuming pain your leaving has caused. Dearest Grandson, know this, as long as we draw breath, your name will be with us, and then perhapos we'll meet again... With deepest Love, Gramma and Brendan
We are so deeply saddened to hear about Douglas. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this heart-wrenching time. May you be surrounded by many people to love and care for you, and may God offer you comfort and strength.
On behalf of my late parents, John and Madeline Gilliland, Beverly's godparents, I want to extend my sincere sympathies. There is no understanding the loss of a child. I pray that God keeps all of you safe in his arms as you journey to try and understand your loss. May your memories, and the love and support of family and friends help you through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Success as parent's can be measured by the footprint left by our children in the lives of others. There is no question that Bev and Doug brought an Angel in the world. Although the time was short, he certainly left God's blessing upon all those he met. We love you guys.
I am so sorry to hear about Douglas. As I know all too well it is hard to try to understand the loss of a child and someone so young. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
The loss of a child is the greatest loss. No explanations can make it okay. No resolution can make it go away. It is only our inventions that in time will find a prism to view this through that might, just might, make a glimmer of sense out of it. We are thinking of you in this sad and painful time. Please accept our tears and love. Elliott Miller and Max Mitchell, High Rolls, New Mexico
