Dorothy Marie Cottingham (née Masse)

Of London and formerly of Tilbury, Ontario. Passed away peacefully at Chelsey Park Long Term Care on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, in her 91st year. Survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Robert D. Cottingham; much loved mother of Robert K. Cottingham (Nancy), Karen Osoka (Gary Boyle), Joan Metcalf (Glenn) and Debra Cottingham. Cherished and loving grandmother of seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews, and her sister Margaret Escott. Special thanks to the 4th floor staff at Chelsey Park for their compassionate care. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. (two hours prior to the service). Private family interment to follow at Dorchester Union Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dorothy are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Dear Karen, Gary and families, I am so sorry to have just found out minutes ago, that your Mom passed away last week, and funeral service was yesterday. Having spoken to you on Sunday and didn't know, I'm embarrassed. My heart goes out to you; please accept my sincere condolences, for my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
