At Westmount Gardens on Sunday, November 24th, 2013, with family at her side, Mrs. Dorothy Lawrence (née Hames), of London, in her 81st year. Wife of the late Joe Lawrence (1962). Beloved mother of Carolyn Francis (the late Bruce), Sam (Cathie) Lawrence, Cathy (Paul) Lawrence-Porchak, Lizzie (George) Mulcahy, all of London, and the late Thomas Lawrence (2005). Dear sister of Doris Barnewell, of Georgetown, and the late Eric, John and Norman Hames. Proud grandmother of Joseph, Robbie (Tonya), Graham (April), Patti-Anne, Michael (Crystal), Shannon (Jeff), Kevin (Michelle), Kyle, Barbara, Christopher, Bob (Jackie), Peter (Angela), Lori (Ezra) and Mark (Katie). “Old Nanny” to great-grandchildren Amelia, Alecia, Terryann, Michael, Jason, Amanda, Patrick, Abbigale, Gerorge E., Jack, Nevin, Kenny, Dave, Angela, Joshua, Jordan, Michaela, Cohen, Stephanie, Shelby, Joseph W., Kahlen, Karlene, Jaden, Cameron, Corey, Breanna and Dakota, and great-great-grandchildren Chelsea and Elin. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Thursday, November 28th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dorothy are asked to consider the Salvation Army or the London Humane Society.

What an honour it was to be part of this lovely woman's life. Old Nanny treated me like any one of her grandchildren and for that I am forever grateful. Cathy and Paul, Shannon and Jeff and all the kids, my heartfelt sympathies to you all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Liz and family.
