Our deepest condolences to you all and your families at this difficult time. We were so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Your Auntie Marlene and I have been friends since the early 50`s and it was a pleasure to have met both your Mom and Dad at that time. Although I don`t know you all personally I feel I do know you because of your Auntie Marlene talking of you all over the years. The gates of memory never close. Hope you find comfort in knowing others are thinking of you at this difficult time. BJ Turko & family
Doreen was like a second mom to countless people, and I feel privileged to have known her. Her sunny disposition, laughter, generosity, many kindnesses (and great cooking!) brightened the World tremendously. I know I’m not alone in saying she’ll always be fondly remembered as a truly bright ray of sunshine. My profound condolences not only to the entire Ashenden clan, but to all the other lives Doreen touched...
Dear Chris, Jane and John I have many fond memories or your Mother...particularly her sense of humour and fun....whenever she and my father were outnumbered by Ashendens they stuck together and called themselves the "out-laws". This such a profound lose. The world was such a brighter place because of your Mom. Anne
