Donna Switzer

April 9, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Switzer, in her 75th year, on Sunday, April 9th, 2017, surrounded in the loving arms of her family. Dearly loved wife of Bill Switzer and cherished Mom to Kelly (Jim) Naujokaitis, Kim (Bob) Lofgren and Kathy (Brian) Hayward. Proud and devoted Grandma to Sarah and Connor Naujokaitis; Troy, Trent and Turner Lofgren; and Trevor, Kennedy and Blake Hayward. Donna particularly loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at their many sporting events. She was always their biggest cheerleader and number one fan. Donna will also be sadly missed by her sister Lynda Groom (Bob Ward) of St. Thomas and her brother Ron (Nancy) Hansen of Guelph. Donna enjoyed sightseeing with Bill and travelled internationally on cruise ships and many vacations during their 53 years of marriage. Donna was employed at Fanshawe College for 23 years and she retired in 2002 to travel and to enjoy time with her family. Donna was the sunshine on a rainy day, she was our rock, our friend and our hero. Donna will always be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family and friends and a good glass of red wine. Finally, breathe easy mom. Relatives and friends will be welcomed by the family at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, April 14th, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Donna will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 15th, 2017 and will be surrounded by her family. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
