Donna Marie Bowden (Hoy)

Passed peacefully into the arms of “The Good Lord” at Victoria Hospital surrounded by her whole family, on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in her 76th year. Donna leaves behind the love of her life for over 59 years, Donald William Bowden, who she cherished with every beat of her heart. The most wonderful mother of Larry (Valèrie) and Randy (Maria) Bowden. Donna was the most proud gramma to Josh, Sheena, Paul, Sara, Lauren and Julia Bowden. Beloved daughter of Cap and Edith Hoy. Loving sister of Doris and Bill Knight, Delina and Earl Teskey, and Tim Hoy. Fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Dolly Hoy, Bob and Doreen, Terry and Sharon, Pat and Bill Wheeler, Marilynn, Sharon and Marty LaClair, Gary, Diane and Gene Martin, and Brenda and Wayne Simpson. Preceased by her brothers Clarence, Bob and Terry as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law: Marg and Chub Edward, Wanda Young, Marvin and Audrey, and Valarie Bowden. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Donna are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society. 

We want to thank Donna for all she has done for us,

from helping raise all her grandchildren,

to making her infamous apple pies and butter tarts.

She was truly loved and will be forever missed.

It was my honour to be your daughter inlaw, or I should say DAUGHTER because that is how you made me feel for the 37 years that I've had the pleasure to know you and be part of your life. You did so much for me that I cannot even begin to thank you. You were so good to Sheena, Paul and Julia that you are going to be forever in their hearts. You personally gave me the greatest gift of all...RANDY......you raised the most wonderful husband and father.....lucky lucky me....Thankyou Donna I will love amd miss you for the rest of my life.......Maria

Jim and I had many great memories of Don and Donna. We always enjoyed our visits and Jim would forever be teasing Donna . He made fun of her tea parties with her fancy cups and saucers.Don just chuckled. Jim would get her so excited but I think she enjoyed it all.Now that they are together up in heaven I'm sure the good times continue. Here we miss them terribly and enjoy the wonderful memories we hold dear . Rest In Peace Donna Dorothy, Patty & Paul and kids John Paul & Cindy & kids and Stephen & Gail

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Donna. She graced me with her wonderful spirit, positive attitude and was such a joy to be with every day.
