Donna Kathleen Jackson (Gore) (nee McIver)

May 2, 1936 ~ March 14, 2018

Donna passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital. She was born in Kincardine Township and lived there until the age of eight, when the family moved to the London Area. Donna is predeceased by her husband Al Gore (1972), her sisters, Betty Lindsay and Dorothy Harris, and brother, Bud McIver. Donna is survived by sons, Tim (Lorelei) and Scott Gore, as well as granddaughter, Karen Gore (Sean O’Grady) and step granddaughter, Joanne Bogod (Boris). Great-grandmother to Maya and Olivia Bogod. Survived by her dear sister, Shirley Elliott (the late Bill) and brother-in-law, Gerald Lindsay (Ena), who will miss her companionship greatly. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Bonnie McMillan (Keith), Steve Elliott (Bernie), Reg Elliott (Sandy), Pat Elliott (Jane), Lori Elliott (John Gysbers), Garry Lindsay (Yvonne), Larry Harris and Sherri Harris (Brent Oliver), and their families. Best friend, since childhood, of Frances Whittington (Bill), and forty plus years of Shirley Boutcher (Dave). Donna will be missed by many friends at the 50 Plus Housing Co-Op and the Huron Heights Card Club. The funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, The Lung Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
