We have fond memories of Don, the main one being when he agreed to be the Best Man at our wedding in 1957. Don and I grew up together in Aylmer, Ontario and another memory I have of him was his ability to play a great game of Pool.....He was an ardent stamp collector which provided him with much satisfaction in his retirement years. Although we haven't seen Don recently, we are thankful for our last visit remembering 'old times' . We were able to meet his wife, Jean in their home in London at which time we enjoyed lunch together and catching up on all our respective families' activities. Our sympathy to Jean and to the family in their loss of a husband and father. Grant and Joan Hart

Sue, Cindy, Sharon and all the family. I am so sorry I won't make it to the memorial service today. My love and hugs to all of you. Your dad was terrific - a great father and a fine man all-round. My sympathy to you all as you are missing him and remembering the wonderful things he brought to you. The Hilliker family sends it love and memories of our own. karen

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of the McConnell family. Losing a loved one is never easy. I am sure all of you have many fond memories of Don that will last a lifetime. I just want to mention that not only did he have a great impact on your lives, he and all of the McConnell clan, had a tremendous positive effect on many families around the lake area. For that, you all should be proud as the McConnell name will not be soon forgotten in the Aylmer / Port Burwell area. Paul Ens
