Dino Anthony Vettor
December 30, 2023
With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Dino Anthony Vettor on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the age of 89, following a brief illness. Dino, a devoted husband to Elizabeth (Hauss) for 63 years, leaves behind a legacy of enduring love. He was a loving father to the late Gary (Cassie), Shellie (late John), Crystal (Tiffany), Carolyn (Andy), and Andrea and a proud Grandpa to the late Nicholas, Matt, Laura, Lisa, Andrew, Evan, Megan and Bethany. Dino will be missed by his siblings, Norma (late Roger), Angie (Keith), Rita (Brian), Linda (Lou), and Richard, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Dino was born in Dominion, Nova Scotia, settling in Guelph, Ontario. During his time in Guelph, he was proud to be the President of the Italian Canadian Club. He was a hard worker and diligent provider, retiring after nearly four decades of dedicated service with Canada Post. He enjoyed a long and happy retirement filled with travel, fishing with friends, and tending to his garden. Actively engaged in the church community, he was a 40-year member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a 25-year volunteer of the Dough Boys charity that collects bread from local grocery stores and delivers it to homeless shelters. Above all, Dino cherished moments with loved ones, whether gathered around the table sharing stories and laughter, playing cards, or sampling his latest homemade wine. His memory lives on in the warmth of all of his cherished family and friends.
The family will receive family and friends at St. George Catholic Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, Ontario on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Visitation from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. in the church narthex, followed by a Memorial Mass being celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. The Mass will be live streamed: click here or https://www.youtube.com/user/sgtvlondon. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dino are asked to consider Ark Aid Street Mission.

I will always remember a hearty welcome from Dino when we visited Florida and accompanied sister Linda for a visit! We were always welcomed with open arms and a big hug and made to feel at home. It was a privilege to know Dino and although we did not see him often, we always enjoyed being together and the great conversations we often had. Our thanks for those times, and our prayers go out to Betty and family. Dino is smiling at us from heaven!
Sending our sincerest condolences to Elizabeth and her family during this very hard time . May God help and bless you all. Love you my dearest BFF Phyllis and Bob Kroetsch
We've known Dino and Elizabeth since 2007 when we became one of their neighbours. Dino was always welcoming and we've enjoyed many long conversations when we encountered each other while walking or cutting the lawn and or shoveling snow. I always considered Dino one of my best neighbours and he's going to be missed alot.
