It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to Denise Lasenby, who passed away in her 63rd year in the ICU at University Hospital on Friday, March 12, 2021. Cherished daughter of Irene and the late Harold (2015). Loving sister of Paul (Linda) and Brian (Jayne) of Grand Bend. She will also be fondly remembered by her two nieces, Jennifer (Darrell) and Michelle (Matt). Denise was admired by all for her courage, compassion and generosity. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends from near and far. Our heartfelt thanks to the ICU doctors and nurses for their devoted care. A funeral service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Registration is required to attend the visitation and the service.
Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Denise are asked to consider the Arthritis Society or the Humane Society London & Middlesex.
Please note: as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, attendance numbers will be restricted. Please be aware that COVID-19 protocols are in place which may preclude some from being able to attend and masks are mandatory at both indoor and outdoor services.

To the Lasenby Family: I worked with Denise at Westinghouse then ABB for many years. I believe she was 19 when she started there. Later, after retirement , I enjoyed her company at our annual reunion lunches, especially her sense of humour. She will be remembered fondly as a fun, positive, kind soul and will be greatly missed. I am so very sorry for your loss
Dear Lasenby Family: I was so hoping that Denise would somehow pull through from the last few weeks. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. She has been my best friend for the last 10 years, that I'd see weekly. I will miss her terribly, as I know all of her family will. I will treasure all of the good times that we had together. We are stunned by the loss of Denise. Our heart aches for such a beautiful soul who we have shared so many memories with throughout childhood and our adult lives. She was a lovely person who we will so deeply miss.
So shocking to hear of the passing of Denise. My heart goes out to the family as she will be very much missed. Remember all of the wonderful moments that you shared with Denise and be grateful.

The shock is still raw and difficult to process. We will remember Denise as the kind, warm, happy and thoughtful person whom she was, and cherish the memories of time spent together throughout our lives. She will be forever missed.

The sudden loss of Denise was a shock to us all. Our sincerest sympathies are with you, Aunt Irene, Paul and Brian, during this time of loss. Denise will be sorely missed.
