Della Viola Gingrich (née Beisel)
January 25, 2024
Passed peacefully from this life into the presence of God on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Born in Elmira, Ontario, her 91 years were richly lived in Canada but also in Japan and Kenya. With her business training, she was a respected office administrator, bookkeeper, and college librarian, and she served people as a partner with her husband, Virgil, in Christian ministry. She was a talented musician, a gracious hostess, and highly gifted in the art of “listening”. Many people found reason to confide in her and received deep and sincere empathy and comfort in return. Having lived with the ravages of dementia for the last ten years, her family has grieved her loss for some time and are grateful that she has been released from this mental struggle to live fully now in the glory that God, through Jesus Christ, has prepared for her.
Her family is so very grateful for the cherished blessing of knowing and loving her and being known and loved by her. Survived by her precious husband, Virgil, to whom she was married for over 71 years; her daughter Sharon Rozeluk (Peter), and her son Fred Gingrich (Heather); her grandchildren Tabitha Edgar (Jason), Jonathan Rozeluk, Lydia Rozeluk (Rob Butler), Brandon Gingrich, and Nathan Gingrich; her great-grandchildren Chara Edgar, Christopher Edgar, and Rico Gingrich. Della has had a profound effect on each member of the family, her influence reaching into the future, and she is deeply missed. She was the greatest of cheerleaders, championing our efforts, celebrating our successes, and supporting our disappointments. She taught us to love God and each other.
There will be no visitation at this time. A memorial service and interment will be scheduled at a later date. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory, we would urge you to consider donating to Mission Services of London or Evergreen Christian Ministries

Dear Virgil and Family, We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Della... Remembering all the good times we had with you and Della.... while you lived in the Zurich Area. May our loving heavenly Father surround you with his Comfort and Peace as you go through this difficult time. Love and Prayers...... Mahlon & Pearl Ann Martin...
We are so very thankful for Della's support (alongside Virgil!) of New Hope Ministries. What a privilege it was over the years to have her attend our annual board meetings and offer her support , wisdom and encouragement! What a blessing to know this special woman of God! Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
What a beautiful lady! A credit to her family and to her Lord. We're so grateful to have known her and to have all of you in our lives (through our EBC and our Kitchener connections). The Lord is so kind to give us friends, teachers, mentors to shepherd us along the way. Della was that and so much more to many of the Lord's people. As Paul's mother used to say, these dear ones "have just gone ahead of us", and we're all looking forward to that blessed reunion still to come. We're praying for you all as you adjust to this loss, and we're thankful our paths crossed and blossomed along the way! Love to you all.
Virgil, Sharon and Fred and families, Sorry to hear of your loss! Although we haven’t connected for a long time, my Mom ( Nelda) always spoke of Della very fondly. I have good memories of having you in our home in Guernsey. Also after hearing Virgil & Della speak at the Sharon Mennonite church, I wanted to be a missionary when I grew up. They definitely had an impact on my life with their contagious love of Jesus!
To the Gingrich family. How well I remember Della and Virgil from my EPBC days as well as when we lived in KW. She was always a classy lady of deep commitment to her God and her family. She was a role model of what it was to ‘walk with God’ and live out His teachings in the way she did life. Della was an inspiration, a mentor and friend. She has left an indelible imprint upon humanity.
