With sadness and great hope, the family announces the passing of David Rempel on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Victoria Hospital, just two weeks after his 95th birthday. Beloved husband of the late Irene Rempel, née Braun (2014). Loving father of Brenda Hodson (Bill) of St. Catharines, Theodore “Ted” Rempel (Linda), Edward Rempel (Sandra) all of London, and Leonard “Len” Rempel (Kathleen) of New Hamburg. Much loved Grandpa of Robin (Kevin), Jennifer (Kevin), Amanda (Rick), Rebecca, William, Jeffery, Aaron (Tina), Erika, Lauren (Andrew), Colleen (Corey), Alexander, David (Lacie), Sarah (Darryl), Matthew, Timothy, Kim, Emily and Greg, and Great-Grandpa of seventeen. Dear brother of Katherine “Kay” and Matthew “Fred”. Predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. David will be remembered by extended family as well as by the staff and residents at Kensington Village. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. A memorial celebration will be conducted at St. Agatha Mennonite Church, 1967 Erbs Road, St. Agatha, ON, on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of David are asked to consider Compassion Canada, Mennonite World Conference or the charity of your choice.
