Jackson, David MacAlpin – Suddenly at University Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2011, in his 73th year. Loving husband of Gail. Proud father of Mark and Laura Jackson and step-father of Kim Ruhl (Greg) and Scott Grace. Cherished grandfather of Darius Jackson and Alexis Ruhl. Dear brother of Jim (Ellen) and John (June), and brother-in-law of Cheryl and Cliff (Betsey) Lang. David was a former Professor at the University of Toronto and University of Western Ontario and a member of the Rotary Club. He will be sadly missed. Cremation has taken place. Westview Funeral Chapel (519-641-1793) entrusted with arrangements.

Gail, Rob and I were shocked and saddened to learn of David's death. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you try to cope with his loss.
Elinor and I were shocked at David's passing. We will miss his frindship and very pleasant attitude, he was a true gentleman. It was a privilege working with him for so many years during our tenure on the condo Board of Directors. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
Dear Gail LaVonne let me know about the oh so sudden passing of your David. We are still in shock. David was such a great guy, always with a smile and such a positive attitude. Gail, I am saddened to hear of your loss and I was just speaking of David at Christmas. Please know that my memories of the two of you while David was at the Small Business Centre are fond. Take care of yourself and know that he left his impact on alot of people. Barb Mills and family.
Dear the Family of Professor Jackson, My deepest condolences go out to the family of David Jackson. He was an amazing professor at the University of Toronto and will be deeply missed. He made going to class fun! By far the best university professor in my undergraduate years at UTM. Forever I will remember Professor Jackson.
