Peacefully, and surrounded by his family and friends at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the age of 84. Beloved father of Lisa and Cliff (Jill). Loving Grampy to Madeleine and Evan. Also loved by his sister Valerie Edmondson (Tony) and nieces Jane and Helen. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Winifred, and by his companion, Cavell Brown. David immigrated to Canada in 1957 after serving with the Royal Air Force which instilled in him a life-long passion for aviation. He also spent many hours restoring his 1955 Sunbeam and attending many antique motorbike rallies. David could often be found at the Western Fair Raceway enjoying his love of harness racing. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where David’s life will be celebrated on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum or London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
