March 21, 2022

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Monday, March 21, 2022, in his 78th year. Deeply missed by his beloved wife Barbara of 32 years. Predeceased by his first wife Patricia Smith (1989) of 24 years. Loving father of Miriam (Shane), Jason (Heather), Benjamin (Bethany), and Sarah (Joshua). Cherished grandad to George, Brittney, Emily, Indigo, and Noelle. Survived by his siblings: Pauline, Jean, Marlene, and Glenda. Predeceased by his siblings: Colin and Marilyn.

David worked at Richards-Wilcox for 40 years. He was the Plant Chairman of the aerospace workers for many years. At retirement he had many projects on the go which included, but was not limited to: volunteering at LHSC providing pastoral care, and being an active member at the Salvation Army Citadel. He always had a new endeavour to look forward to. A special thanks to Dr. A. Mok, Dr. J. Price, and all those who assisted with home care.

Dear Barbara, My sincere sympathy to you and all your family. I am saddened by David's death but cherish the memories I have of his weekly visits to patients at Vic hospital. David was a kind and generous man whose friendship I treasured. May he now rest in peace in God's loving embrace and always look out for all of you, whom he loved so dearly. Holding you and all your family in prayer, Sr. Magdalena
