David Alan Jay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of David Alan Jay (Jayball) on Saturday, January 23, 2021, in his 61st year. Beloved husband, father, brother, son, grandfather and friend. He touched all of our hearts beyond words, leaving a void that can never be filled. David has left his best friend and wife, Rosemary; his children, Kylie (Sam) and Shawna (Mike); stepchildren, Craig (Natacha) and Ryan (Christina); and three beautiful grandchildren, Georgia, Brayden and Jordyn. He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Judi (Bob) and Donna (Peter); nieces and nephews, Greg (Deb), Tim (Erica), Andrea (Wil), Christopher (Sandra), Adam (Jennifer), Karen, Jen (Carm) and Kate (Dustin); and by his great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and so many friends. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Christina Jay. David was a true family man. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time.

Rose, Kylie and Shawna- I am so incredible sorry for your loss. I am still honestly in disbelief so I can't imagine how you are all feeling. Dave was such an amazing man, kind, funny, hard worker and a good listener- he helped me with multiple renovations and taught me to do so much. He was a good friend and helped me cope in some difficult times and always made me feel like a fighter. My heart goes out to all of you. Please know I am there if you need anything.

My family would like to send their sincerest condolences to the Jay family, My dad, Ron Cooper coached Dave when he was a minor/major midget with London Minor Hockey Association. When I told Ron of Dave's passing he was as everyone, shocked. He went on to say what a great player Dave was.
