My sincere condolences to all members of Joe's family. I had the privilege of playing slow pitch in the Dorchester Canadian League with him. In fact, the last year he was an active player he and I shared the pitcher's position. He was well respected in the league for his competitiveness and his sense of fair play. Given that he was in his 70's playing in an over 50 league he proved he could still handle a bat and glove. I can only imagine how good a player he was in his younger days. May he rest in peace.

Marc, My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family at this time of great sorrow.

To the Ethier Family, We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. Joe and Pat were our neighbours on Highview for almost 15 years and we couldn't have wished for a better neighbour. Every neighbourhood has to have it's avid Habs fan and Joe was ours. His passion for hockey and sports in general was truly evident. It was a sad day for us to see him leave but we knew after the passing of Pat that he had no choice but to move on with so many memories in that house. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. With our deepest sympathy Paul and Janine Foster

Joyce and I are saddened by the loss of Joe Ethier and want to pass on our sincere condolances to Steve & Kim and all of their family. Even though we didn't know Joe we can see what a great job he did in raising Steve. Steve always had some great stories about his Dad and you could tell they had a very close and special relationship. We know he will be missed.
