PETRIE, Cole – After a long courageous battle with neuroblastoma cancer, at his home in London surrounded by his family, on August 1, 2010, Cole Petrie, in his 10th year. Beloved son of Brian and Jennifer (Stone) Petrie. Loving grandson of Leonard and Margaret Petrie (Stratford), Frank Reed, Beverlee MacCarl and the late Dorothy (Stone) Reed and Neil Stone. Loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins and will be missed by many cherished friends and schoolmates. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. In memory of Cole, a donation may be made to ChildCan, Make-a-Wish Foundation, The James Fund for Neuroblastoma Research, the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Children’s Health Foundation. Brian and Jennifer, I am heart broken to learn of Cole's passing. I only met Cole and Jennifer once, very briefly at CBS, but Brian, I respected you as a coworker and admired your courage and strength in dealing with Cole's illness and the enormous stress that was placed upon you and your family. I cannot even begin to imagine all that you and Jennifer have been through and are going through now. My thoughts are with both of you.

We are so sad at the loss of your beautiful little boy. The strength and courage you have shown through this traumatic journey has been awesome. The memories that we have will always be with us and I treasure the gallery of photos you have posted on his Caringbridge site. We first met when our son Colston was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in June 2008 at five weeks of age and we have followed Cole's brave fight ever since. Dear Petrie family, I have never signed in before, but have followed Cole's journey faithfully, praying and checking in on updates daily. I am truly sorry for the loss of your beautiful, precious son. Heaven is now graced with Cole's precious and pure loving soul.
