I am at awe... I worked for Chris at XU Aviation and have known the family over the years. My deepest sympathy...
We were deeply saddened to hear of Chris's passing. Having dealt with Chris over many years, I came to appreciate his professionalism in business and his calm demeanour on the job. Our deepest condolences to his family at this difficult time, he will be missed.
We were very sad to hear about Chris's passing. We have known him for over 40 years and I have enjoyed flying and building airplanes with Chris. He was a superb pilot in gliders and power planes. Chris served as president of the Soaring Association of Canada and held many functions at the local London Soaring Society for many years. Rest in peace Chris and some day we will meet again at cloudbase.
Dick and family, I am so very sorry to read of Chris's death. His loss will be felt through out the entire aviation community.
So sorry to hear of Chris's passing. I've know Chris for many years and share his passion for aviation. Chris and the excellent team at XU aviation did a great restoration of glider this last winter. He will be missed. Cheers Mate.
I am sorry for your loss. I worked for Chris and Dick for many years . He will be missed.
Dick and family. Very sorry to hear of Chris's passing . Having worked with him repairing the Air Cadet Aircraft over the pass 11 years .I have become very aware of his high standards of work and professionalism in aircraft maintenance. He will be missed.
I am shocked and saddened by Chris's sudden passing. As with virtually everyone in the London aviation community, I have known, worked with and learned from Chris over many years. Decades in my case. Chris will be dearly missed and I extend my sincere condolences to Dick and the Eaves family. Soar high on your own wings now Chris.
Real downer. Our paths never crossed enough. Taught me to fly sailplanes & towplanes, many moons ago. Did some AD welding on my old Pitts. You will be missed & remembered.
The aviation community has lost a great AME. Chris spent his life immersed in all aspects of flying and aircraft maintenance. His skills, professionalism and dedication were second to none. He was a master problem solver and was able to confidently navigate the nightmare of aviation rules and regulations. Chris oversaw the maintenance of my gliders for many years ensuring their reliability. He inspired me to become involved in aircraft maintenance. Chris maintained the workhorse tug, OHJ at the London Gliding Club from early in his career saying that it was a collection of replaceable parts. I understand that OHJ continues to be in service to this day as a testament to his skills. Many of my fondest memories include Chris at XU and the gliding club. My thoughts are with his family, friends, co-workers and clients.
I am so sorry to hear of Chris passing, having known you two for some 40 plus years I know how close a father son relationship you two had, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.
