Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at McGarrell Place, on Friday, May 26th, 2017, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Sye Heng Yu. Devoted father of Linda, Pake Chee, Keen and his wife Colette, and son-in-law Harvey. Predeceased by daughter Christina. Treasured by his grandchildren: Alina, Clarissa, Madeline, Connor, Charlotte and Olivia. Chin Chong was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Pacific Campaign in the 1940s and having earned medals for his distinguished service. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lo and the entire staff at McGarrell Place for their tireless care and attentiveness.

On behalf of the McGarrell family, our deepest condolences, love and prayers to you, Linda, Pake Chee, Keen and Colette, including Harvey. It was our privilege to know, befriend and care for your loved one, Chong. May the happiest memories you all have of a great man, husband, father, grandfather, friend and child of God be your comfort in the days ahead.
We are deeply saddened by the news of granduncle's passing. May God give him eternal rest & the family the strength to bear the great pain.
