At Richmond Woods Retirement Residence on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013, Mr. Charles Robert “Bob” Wood of London in his 82nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Gwen for over 55 years. Loving Dad of Joanne Merner (Darryl Whaley) and Rose Bortolussi (Rob), all of London. Dear brother of Donald Wood (Anita) of Toronto, Kathy Wood (the late Gerry) of London and the late Ian Wood (Mary). Proud Grandpa of Michelle Merner, Kaitlyn Merner, Matthew Bortolussi and David Bortolussi. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will be conducted at Siloam United Church, 1240 Fanshawe Park Road East, London, on Sunday, November 10th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Tiny Paws Dog Rescue Canada.

I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have the fondest memories of Bob while a teenager taking my swimming classes to become a lifeguard. He was the BEST instructor who has left many of us with life long memories. We were also part of the Siloam family. I will never forget his smile. "and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand."

Dear Auntie Gwen & family, We were saddened to hear Uncle Bob had passed away. He was such a wonderful man - always saw the positive & brought light into the room. He was definately one of our favorite uncles & was loved by everyone who knew him. May the Lord comfort you in the days ahead.
