Charles Cyril ‘Cy’ Parks
March 5, 2018
It is with deep sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Charles Cyril Parks on Monday, March 5th, 2018, at the Stratford General Hospital. Cy was born to Ernest and Jane Parks, in London, Ontario, on February 26, 1927. He was married to Helen (McIntyre) for over 66 years. Cy is survived by his children: Ruth (Gary) Whaley, Judith (Carl) Szolcsanyi and Sam (Debbi) Parks, all of Stratford; seven grandchildren: Marianne (TJ), Steven (Christine), Kelly (Ryan), Wayne, Lauren (Riley), Karli (Aaron), Brianna and four great-granddaughters: Natalie, Jillian, Rachel and Ella. Cy was an employee of Ontario Hydro for over 35 years in Stratford, then Seaforth, and also co-owner of Camp-Out Rental and Sales with Helen. After retiring and passing the business on to Sam and Debbi, Cy and Helen enjoyed summers fishing on the Bruce Peninsula and winters in both Homestead and Plant City, Florida. They also loved to travel, went on many cruises over the years, and camped their way across both Canada, from BC to NL, and every state in the United States, including Alaska. Cy was a wonderful, thoughtful father and grandfather who will be missed. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Cy are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Dear Parks Family, On behalf of all of us at the ORVDA, sending you are deepest sympathies during this difficult time. Sincerely, Natalie Conway
I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Cy. I remember him as a happy-go-lucky man. You'll remember Ben better. Working on motor homes there likely got him interested in travelling that way. Since he passed away I've moved to McCarthy Place. So glad you got to see so many places.
