I'm so sorry for your loss Catherine. I feel that Ched was sent by God to the OMAFRA office in Woodstock ON, to help "me" learn the difficult job of meat inspection. Ched had a good heart, shared all his knowledge and showed me the ropes of how to deal with some of the difficult people encountered in inspection. Ched was a true family guy in everyway ! He always spoke of you and your kids with devotion ! Ched and I had some good laughs on the road and during some of the government training sessions. I'm going to miss him. I will always be thankful for his friendship ! Rest in peace my friend ! - F.

Catherine, I am so sorry to learn of Ched's passing. What a challenge for you. I remember when we used to talk after services at FSA. He was a lovely man. Down the road you will cherish the wonderful memories of your trips with your RV, discovering new adventures every day. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I used to be a member of First St. Andrews United Church. I had a number of occasions to meet and interact with Ched. He was always very friendly and outgoing, and had a very good heart. I am so saddened by this news and can’t imagine the suffering and loss his dear family must be feeling - my heartfelt condolences Catherine and family.

Dear Catherine and family. I was so saddened to hear today of Chad's death. In addition to knowing him from seeing you all at FSA, I have special remembrances of him a a valued participant in our long Ministerial search that eventually brought David McKane to FSA - with some additional humor discovering both his names of "Chad" and "Ched". This will be a difficult time for all you who knew him so well. I hope it is some comfort to know others are thinking of you at this time - even here on the West Coast. My sincere condolences. I am so sorry to hear about Ched. He was a most amazing man. When I met him, he was carrying Calvin in a baby carrier and Dale and Kara became fast friends at the library. He was a patient, loving Dad and enjoyed his kids so much. He was such an admirable man. Full of life. We were saddened to see his obituary. My Mom passed the day before. Sincere condolences to all of you! Kim and Dan Roberts
