Catherine ‘Katie’ MacIsaac
September 29, 2023
In loving memory of one so special, whose light we’ve lost too soon.
In the early morning hours of Friday, September 29, 2023, our mother, Catherine ‘Katie’ MacIsaac peacefully and surrounded by her loving family passed away. She joins her beloved husband John Lorne in Paradise.
Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. That which she leaves for her children Karen (Scott), Mary (Dan) and Stephen (Angela); grandchildren whom she adored Tyson (24), Kaitlyn (21), and Jack (21) and Abby (19); dear sisters Christina, Helen, Margie; and brother Ken. An abundance of nieces and nephews from the MacDonald and MacIsaac clans, and many friends whom she cared so deeply for. Predeceased by parents James and Margaret MacDonald; sisters Anne, Mary, Fran and Jeanette; and brothers Vince, James, Alexander, Angus, Greg, and John.
As a devout Catholic, she drew her strength from her unwavering Faith in God. By wonderful example, she taught us to be kind, be compassionate, be honest and be helpful. Patience was her virtue. She had an amazing ability to bring solace and comfort to all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Divine Parish, 390 Base Line Road West, London on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 at 12:30 p.m., with a reception to follow at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London.
Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Katie are asked to please consider the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
We love you Mama.

Our condolences to all the family , we were sad to hear Kate had passed. We treasure our fond memories when we were neighbours in Brights Grove. Veronica & Derek
Karen, Mary, Steve and families, Although we have never met personally, I feel I have known you since you were all young children. I first met your mom and dad in Sarnia in 1978 through a mutual friend, Dave Hitchen. After leaving Sarnia for London in 1980 we lost contact until meeting once again at St. John the Divine parish. Our clergy gathering was just before Easter week and we would gather for a meal, hosted by the K of C. Your dad and I would get caught up on all the news about our Sarnia and London friends. Never was there a time your names did not surface. He was a proud and loving father and husband. Please know that your parents, as well as you and all your family, are in my thoughts and prayers. May they rest in peace. Fr. Rick Janisse (retired) Windsor

Aunt Katie, although I didn’t know you well, the memories I have of being in your presence were of kindness, a warm smile and genuine interest in what her young nieces & nephews were interested in. I hope John Lorne brought you to a Cape Breton Ceilidh when you arrived in heaven and uncle Gussy was playing the guitar. Rest in eternal peace surrounded by your family Catherine. P.s. say hi to dad for me:)
