Catherine Ann Jones
October 6, 1959 - June 11, 2024
Catherine Ann Jones (née Bentley) was born in Cornwall, October 6, 1959, and died peacefully with those she loved around her on June 11, 2024, at the age of 64, having bravely faced failing health resulting from acute PSP. After moving to Montreal, Markham and finally Uxbridge Township with her parents, brother and sister, Ann met her husband of 40 years, David, after first graduating from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. It was also the move to Uxbridge Township that led to what would be a 50-year bond with her best friend, Brenda. During their time together as a family, Ann, David, Emily, and Philip enjoyed many, many trips camping, skiing, traveling, and more recently, sailing and just hanging out at the cottage in Bayfield. There was barely a weekend when they were not enjoying one of these activities with family and friends. Ann was an avid reader and was never to be found without at least one book on the go, with at least one in reserve. Reading was her ‘Happy Place’. Ann was also a professional when it came to her work at LHSC on behalf of the University of Western Ontario in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Ann was predeceased by her mother and father, Marjorie and Albert, who emigrated from England. Ann was also predeceased by two nephews, Lyndon and Tyler, who died far too young of ALD. Ann is survived by her husband David, daughter Emily and son Philip, all of which she loved unreservedly, and was so immensely proud of. Ann is also survived by her sister Margaret and husband Robert (Brown) and their two wonderful and special children, Stuart and Hannah, whom she loved very much, as well as her brother John (Lyndon and Tyler). Additionally, Ann had a number of family relatives in England who were never far from her mind and were visited as often as possible. Ann was a sister-in-law (and aunt) to Marilyn and Larry Miller (Lance, Andrea and Scott), Barbara Jones (Lee and Nancy-Marie), Brian and Denise Jones (Rebecca, Greg, Stephen and Patrick), Daphne and John Brine, and Nancy and Robert Geldart (Jenna and Rachel). We would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Neuphysio who worked on the Knockout PD program for creating a safe place for assisting the participants to remain active physically and cognitively as they worked through a myriad of physical and neurological challenges. We would also like to thank the Loud Crowd vocal therapy group for their continued support and encouragement throughout this time. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held in the near future. Wife, mother, sister, friend – Ann, we love you.

Dear Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother and wife. I worked with Ann for many years and she was just a delight to be around. My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.
Remembering walks around the neighbourhood, backyard campfires, dinners out, so many euchre games, visits to the cottage and our Hawaiian cruise in the rain. Remembering Ann’s exuberant personality and her opinions. Remembering it all with love and feeling the loss. Xo
David Emily Philip and John Thinking of you at this difficult time. Losing Ann so young is heartbreaking. Hold onto your happy memories and keep Ann in your heart. Linda
Dear David, Marilyn called me this morning to tell me of Ann's passing. I remember when you & Ann came to my 70th birthday party & when Ron helped with the electrical when you renovated your kitchen. Hugs, prayers & love David to you & your family from one favorite cousin to another. 😪💕
