Peacefully at Marian Villa, Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, with loving family by her side on Friday, February 26, 2016, in her 80th year. Beloved wife and special friend of Bruce for 61 years. Loving mother of Kelly (Cynthia), of Picton, and Tim (Sue), of London. Proud grandmother of Stephanie, Taylor, Kelly Breanne and Brendan. Cherished sister of Donna Irwin, of Wallaceburg, and Darlene McFadden (Aaron), of Dresden, and sister-in-law of Hazel McDonald (Allan), of Blenheim and Neil Huff, of Wawa. Also missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents, George and Elsie; her sisters: Barbara (2011), Ruth (infant 1935), Joanne (2013) and brother Bill (1999). Many thanks for the kind attention and loving care by the staff and volunteers at Mount Hope, especially the nurses, RPNs, PSWs, dietary and therapists from recreation, art, music, wellness and horticulture. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Carolyn requests those attending wear bright colours, not black. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Carolyn are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society, London and Middlesex.

Bruce and family, my condolences to you and your sons on the passing of Carolyn. I often think of the times we passed in the hall at 191 Sherbourne and Carolyn would always greet me with Hi cousin. May god have mercy on her soul.
