Surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 3rd, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 70. Loving mother of Sherry Cornelis (Gary) and Stephanie Haggith (Chris). Cherished “Grams” of Nickey (Chad), Trisha, Michelle (Gordon), Sydney (Alex), Jeremy (Danielle) and the sunshine of her life, Peitanne. Dear sister of Betsy (Brian), Jackie, Eddie, Danny and Delores. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Jack and Margaret Blakey and sisters Linda and Joanne. Thanks to all who have been so helpful and supportive during Mom’s illness. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment of ashes at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Carole are asked to consider the London Humane Society or the London Abused Women`s Centre.

Dear Stephanie and Family, thinking of you all. I'm so very sorry to learn of your mom's passing. She was a loving and feisty woman who has no doubt, left you with many important life lessons. In that way, she will always be with you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

Working all those years at UWO with your mom was a lot of fun, she always had a smile and loved her family very much, talking about all of you every day. Dear Sherry and Stephanie and families: I am very sorry to hear about your mother's death. She was a warm and genuine person. I worked with Carole for several years in the university library. We shared many good laughs and tears over the years we worked together. Her family always came first. Again, my sincere sympathy to all of you.
Dear Stephanie, Peitanne, Sydney, Jeremy, & the rest of Carol's family. Your mom was one of those client's who was special, we shared a lot about our lives together. A lot of laughs. One thing that always came to the forefront was her love and dedication to her family, she loved all of her family very much, especially enjoyed her recent time spent with Peitanne. I will miss her, as I know so will all of you. She will have nothing but good hair days now up in heaven. My sincerest sympathy to all of you.
