Calvin grew up in London, and attended post-secondary schools of Bodenseehof Bible School (Capernwray) in Germany, Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University) and York University in Toronto. Calvin thrived during those years, pursuing his love of learning of theology, history and music. He made lifelong friends during those years. He and Teresa met at OBC and settled in London to work and raise their family. Calvin found great pleasure in his hobbies of travelling, playing hockey, golf, fishing, woodcarving, and playing various instruments. Calvin loved church life from an early age and this remained a priority throughout his life. He accepted Christ as his Saviour as a child and served Him faithfully until the end of his life. His unwavering faith helped sustain him during his fight with cancer during the past five years.
Teresa and her family would like to express profound gratefulness for the tender and skilled care by the nurses, PSW’s, housekeepers and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice. The expert and compassionate care given by Dr. Cathy Faulds was truly a godsend to Calvin and Teresa throughout his palliation.

Oh how our heart hurts for you. We have fond memories of Calvin in our time together at WLA. We will keep all of you in our prayers. May your many many great memories of him sustain you through your grief and May our Lord Jesus hold you tight and give you comfort. ❤️ Ted and Linda
Calvin and I became great buddies when we attended Ontario Bible College. He had a wicked sense of humour and we were always joking, laughing and pranking. I was raised on a dairy farm and was nicknamed tractor and Calvin was the Crazy fox. He had the ability to make friends with many people and always made them feel welcome and kept us all laughing. He adored Teresa and his devotion to her was evident from the beginning of their relationship. He was indeed a very special person who God put in our lives as a special gift. For the gift of Calvin’s friendship and humour I am so grateful ♥️ Blessings and comfort to Teresa and their beautiful children 🙏
We are grieving for your loss, sending condolences to Teresa and the family during this difficult time. Cal (Hauptman) was a great teammate, and will be sadly missed. I pray God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, may provide comfort and Peace for you.
Being a teammate with someone for a good number of years, really lets you see the real person. Calvin was an honest, hardworking individual. He set examples by his deeds and not his words. The world is lesser without his presence. To the family- May the God of Peace place his hand of comfort upon you and lift the burden of grief from your hearts.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sharing in your sadness and praying for you during this difficult time. Going to miss you Brother Cal! Rest in Paradise.
May God grant you eternal rest! Faith, resignation and strength for your beloved family. My deepest condolences!
Calvin was a teammate in an online game that we played, and he was respected and loved by man, a great example and friend to all. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. We are praying for peace for the family while at the same time thankful to have known such a wonderful man who leaves behind a great legacy! Greg Hadlock
Hi Teresa, I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and sending my condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.
Praying comfort over Calvin’s family, but also rejoicing knowing he’s in the presence of our Lord and Savior. I met Calvin in 2007 while at a 2 week training meeting in Houston when we worked at WM. He was truly a great, great guy! He will be missed.
I was so saddened to hear of Calvin's passing but consoled at the same time knowing he is now at peace with the Lord ready to embark on a new heavenly adventure. Thinking and praying for his family and friends. I have such fond memories of him as teenagers in Germany he was always the life and soul of the party and a great mimick especially the English accent. I shall miss being called a "Metlwerker"....
Please know that our hearts and prayers are with your family at this time. We are so sorry for your loss.
I am saddened to know that the Lord called him home at what seems an early time. I am sad for his family and those close to him. I knew him as a teenager in Germany and loved his humour and kind heart. Recalling his impersonation of the Bible School principal still brings a smile to my face. We all could see that the man in the making was the kind who would spread God's goodness wherever he went.
We just heard the news and wanted to let you know that, we are thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. Sending our deepest condolences. Nelson, Luiza, Robin & Mikayla Rodrigues
Sorry for your loss ❤️🥹
