Peacefully at University Hospital on Wednesday, June 30th in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Patricia Lawrence. Predeceased by his wife Joyce (2005), brother Bill and sister Jean. Loving father of Joanne Shannon and her husband Dave Wilson, Doug Shannon and his wife Elaine. Adored grandfather of Kerri, Dan, Ryan and Jeff. Proud great-grandfather of Logan and Abbie. Also loved dearly by his step-children and step-grandchildren. Bruce will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Bruce retired as a Platoon Chief after 35 years of service on the London Fire Department. Cremation has taken place. Please join the family for an open house to celebrate and share memories on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Mocha Shrine, 468 Colborne Street, London. Our heartfelt thank you to the staff of University Hospital and Extendicare Nursing Home for their support and compassion.
