The earth lost an angel when Bridget passed. She was always so kind, so giving, so sweet and so loving. Her wonderful energy and cheerful way about her was much admired. My prayers are with Tony for happy memories to soon prevail. You are loved Bridget!

I just learned of the passing of "Miss Hobbs" my childhood piano teacher at Mount Saint Joseph and later her studio on Godfrey. I have such wonderful memories of her and her wit. More memorable than her as a teacher was her spirit and our conversations which evolved to cover so many topics of interest. As years went by we would sometimes lose lesson time to chattering, prompting her to exclaim upon realization, in her Irish way, "Lord love a duck!" I am so glad to hear of the happiness of her life, marriage and family in the decades since I knew her. She certainly helped to shape the person that I am today and am confident I am but one of many. God bless and keep her, and those she leaves behind.

Dear Tony and family Bridget was a special person, full of life and a friend to us. She was a wonderful piano teacher to our children showing them encouragement, generosity, kindness and a genuine interest in their lives. Bridget continued to ask after them years after they grew up and were on their own. We are sorry to hear the news that Bidget has passed away. May the love you shared and the memories of your time together console you in your loss.

Dear Tony and family. I am so very sorry to hear of Bridgett’s passing. I had the great pleasure of doing Bridgett’s hair for many years. She was a definite favourite of mine. She was always smiling and gave the best hugs. My thoughts go out to you and your family at this very difficult time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew this incredible lady. With sincere sympathy, David

It is with heavy hearts that the Flood family learned of Bridget’s passing. Our deepest sympathies to you Tony, your sons ,daughter in laws and your precious grandson. Bridget was of great importance to our family ever since she accompanied our eldest sister Elaine to my parent’s home some 40-50 years ago. Our Irish mother and our father saw her as a daughter and all eleven of us children saw her as a sister. In fact, when Elaine died in 2021, Bridget was listed in her obituary as an honorary sister. Our children adored her for her sweetness and kindness. She was a big part of our family gatherings and celebrations. And when she and Tony wed, he became part of our family fold. Tony, you were the perfect partner for Bridget. We will always remember her and miss her lovely Irish personality. We have indeed lost a treasure.

We were so privileged to have Bridget in our lives. She was truly a part of my family growing up who brought so much joy, love and laughter to our lives. We were so fortunate that my siblings and I were able to take piano lessons from Bridget and then my children continued the tradition by taking lessons from her, as well. We will miss your laugh, your love and your words of encouragement. Our sincere condolences to Tony and family.

I am Bridget's niece from Ireland and Bridget also has a brother still living - Pat in England, she also has nieces and nephews in England. We are all devastated by her passing. She was an amazing lady, full of fun, chat, goodness and love. She adored teaching piano to her many students. Bridget made a good life for herself in Canada and made some very good friends in the process and I am very grateful to her friends for their friendship to her over all the years. "Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis" - an Irish phrase meaning - "may her holy soul be on the right side of God."

Bridget will be greatly missed. Her devotion, love, and compassion towards her students were absolutely remarkable and left an indelible mark on their lives, witnessed on my two children who took piano lessons with her over 30 years ago. Her friendship was a godsend in my life with her unwavering support and love. And her courage and resilience in overcoming the obstacles of her life an inspiration! She was to me a "kindred spirit". I greatly miss you, Bridget.. and will always love you dearly. My condolences, Tony, to you and your family, especially to Jack of whom she always spoke with great love.
