Brian Henderson
November 21, 2015
After a courageous battle with cancer, Brian passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Saturday, November 21, 2015, just two days after his 61st birthday. Beloved husband of Liz. Loving father of Amanda Robertson (Jesse) and Phillip Henderson (Kate). Proud grandfather of Ryenne and Ethan Robertson, Tyler, James and Emily Henderson, and Trent and Tyler Forrester. Deeply missed by his brother Ron and sister-in-law Jo-Ann, and their children Crystal, Louise, Richard and Matthew. Also remembered by his nieces Gail and Dawn, his nephew John, extended family, and friends. Brian recently retired after 31 years with Kellogg’s. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A memorial celebration of Brian’s life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at London Health Sciences Foundation and St. Joseph’s Hospital, as well as the CCAC-VON for their excellent care and compassion. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Brian are asked to consider LHSF.

My deepest sympathy to Liz & the rest of the family. I used to love the stories Brian told when he'd come into the travel office to arrange your cruises. It's nice to see the picture you chose of him was one taken on your last cruise. Brian will be truly missed & my heart goes out to you Liz.
I worked with Brian for many many years at Kellogg's. He was a great guy to work with and everyone knew when he was nearby when we heard him whistling down the halls. I am deeply saddened by his passing. My sincere condolences to the Henderson family.
Lizzie, My heart goes out to you and your family. I know Brian will be missed by many. I know this is such a difficult time for you but he is not suffering now. He will be with you and watching over you always. No one can take away all your wonderful memories that will always be in your heart. You are a strong woman and Brian knows that. Love Barb
Dear Liz and family. Our deepest sympathies go out to you all. I cannot express how sad this news is for everyone who knew Brian. Words may not suffice. Losing someone we love is never easy, and losing someone as kind and silly and fun as Brian is especially difficult. It comforts me now to know that I was part of his life and I take joy in the fact that he was part of mine. We need to remember that a person who departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds. Through us, they live on. Please accept our condolences, he will not be forgotten.

Very sorry to hear the sad news about Brian. I have so many fond memories of Brian and Liz. My thoughts and prayers are with you Liz and your family at this sad time.
Liz, words cannot begin to convey how sorry we are that Brian passed away. He was such a merry soul, the life and soul of the party. Even when we visited him in the hospital, he tried to make us feel better even though he was going downhill so quickly. You have been such a strong woman, spending every waking moment with him, even as he slept, to be a comfort to him. He was so optimistic in the beginning and everyone hoped and prayed that he was going to get better, sadly, it was not to be. I loved Brian as a brother and dear friend and you know that we love you too, Liz. You have both been a big part of our lives for a long time. We enjoyed many dinners together, playing cards and occasional road trips. You are in our thoughts every day. Please convey our condolences to your family. Stay strong and take care of yourself. Love Lyal and Pat xo
Liz and Family: I just want you to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know I had only knew him for a few years but always enjoyed our time together. He was so friendly and I loved his laugh. He was a great man, father, grandpa and husband. I know he suffered this past year and I am glad his suffering is over but he fought the battle to the end with you by his side. I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent on our cruises and know that heaven has gained another angel looking over all of you. Love ya Patti
Dear Liz & Family No words can express how we feel at this time, I will miss him lots, he is one great guy, someone who lit up a room with his wit & laughter. Your friends Louise & Danny McKnight.
To Aunt Liz, Amanda, Phil and everyone who wishes to find a cure for cancer....here is my favourite poem - Cancer is so limited... It cannot cripple LOVE, or shatter HOPE, or corrode FAITH, eat way PEACE, destroy FRIENDSHIP, shut out MEMORIES, silence COURAGE, lesson the POWER OF PEACE when dealing with Cancer. Together, lets find a cure and keep loving each other. xo
No words can ever express the pain we feel for the loss of someone we love so very much.. Brian will be sadly missed by all of us, i have always and will continue to have fond memories of him. He always liked to joke and laugh and loved his Family so very much. He is in a better place now free of his pain with people who love him dearly. He will without a doubt be watching over his favourite Love Liz.. and his children Amanda and Phil along with all his grand children. Rest in peace Uncle Brian we will miss you.. till we meet again xo God bless
To my beautiful Aunt Liz, Amanda, Phil and the Henderson clan. It is so difficult to find the right words to say during such a devastating loss of a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and Uncle. He was always so much fun to have around and although we didn't get to see you as much over the last few years, we will always have such fond memories of Uncle Brian. I wish there was more I could do to help ease the pain for you all. This isn't going to be an easy journey without him but I know he will be there with you all every step of the way. He's in a better place now, you have an angel watching over you. RIP Uncle Brian. Keep us laughing from afar. Until we meet again xoxoxo
Liz, Paul & I alongside Paul, Gary & Amanda would like to convey our sincerest sympathy to you and the entire family circle at this at this extremely sad time. We all have very fond memories of Brian, and the kindness and generosity he afforded to us all on our visits to Canada; he ensured we had a good time with plenty of laughter when we spent time with you both. Brian was my second eldest cousin who always enjoyed a joke, a bit of fun and a bit of Irish humour especially with Uncle Billy. He loved his family and your memories will keep you strong. You are all in our thoughts and wish we could be there with you all. All our love The Thompson’s (Belfast, N Ireland) Brian... May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand xo
Liz I send my love and sincerest sympathy to you, Amanda, Phillip and the entire family circle at this very difficult and sad time. Brian travelled a long and difficult road and he will be missed by all who knew him and the lives he touched. Peace perfect peace xo
Liz and family, words cannot express the saddness we feel for your loss. Brian was a great friend and person who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to you in this difficult time. Your friends, Rob, Therese Lawton and family
