Members of the Hopkins family, My sincere condolences for this loss. While I had not seen or spoken with Bill in a number of years, I remember fondly many road trips taken as a child to soccer events with Bill both behind the wheel and on the sidelines. P.
Dear Anna and family: We are sorry for your loss and offer our deepest condolences. Bill was our son's soccer coach and we have fond memories.
Anna and family. The Pincombe family want to offer our heartfelt condolences. Bill was such a wonderful person. The Hopkins family has been a part of our lives. Tim coached our son Nick in soccer for a number of years and would allow Andy to come and help out. I met Bill when he came to watch some of the games and asked how Tim was doing. Bill was very pleased to hear how much the kids adored Tim. Nick and David have become friends, and I spent time with Bill talking at the gym numerous times. He was such a warm person. He always had time to talk. We just wanted your family to know how much our family appreciates the Hopkins boys. We are so sorry for your loss. Richard, Jane, Andy and Nick.
Anna, Tim, Andrew and David, We can't even come close to expressing in words the sorrow we feel for you at this time. Bill was a loving husband, father and new grandfather and we are so happy he got to meet his grandson. Please know we are praying for you all at this time and don't hesitate to call if there is anything at all that we can do. Anna, you are so fortunate to have your boys to lean on and be there for each other. Love and God Bless, Lois and Larry
We're sending our love and prayers to your family. Your father was a wonderful man - I remember being 7 or 8 years old - I was on Andrew's hockey team and Bill was the coach. When we got jerseys he said, "Davey, we saved you number 9" - to which I asked my dad, "Who played with the number 9?" - my dad quietly shushed me, probably slightly annoyed that I did not know that Gordie Howe - one of the best whoever played used that number. I'm not sure why, but that has always been a fond memory I've had and I thought I'd share with you. Love to you all during this difficult time. Dave, Jess, Noah, James and Thomas
Anna and family, please accept my most heartfelt condolences to you and always remember that the end of life is not the end of love.
