Beverly “Bev” Irons (née Beamer)
Passed peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Parkwood Institute, London, in the Palliative Care ward. Bev was born on June 17, 1943, to Garnet and Shirly Beamer in St. Catharines, ON. Loving wife of William “Bill” Irons for 57 years. Dear mother of Jim Irons (Sara) and Sandra Irons. Adored grandmother of Mackenzie, Rachel, Olivia and Samantha. Preceded in death by her parents Garnet and Shirly, and brother Ross Beamer. Survived by her brother Bruce Beamer. Bev worked as a Lab Technician until transitioning to a full-time Mom. Bev attended St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto as a mature student. She enjoyed skiing, tennis, painting and sketching, gardening, camping, spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering and many church activities.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Parish, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, ON on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Fr. John Pirt will be officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Newmarket, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bev’s memory may be made to LHSF – Cancer Program or St. George Parish.
