Barbara Ann Lee (née Ramsay)
September 7, 2023
Peacefully passed away after a long and courageous battle with dementia at The Village of Glendale Crossing, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, September 7, 2023 Barbara Ann Lee (née Ramsay) in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late B. Marks Lee (2006). Loving mother of Teresa and Mike Van Esch; Janet and Bob Koczwara; and Scott Lee and Tina Venema. Very proud grandmother of Nicole Crispin (Greg), Brett Van Esch (Alex O’Brien), Ben Koczwara, Meghan Koczwara, Victoria Lee and Richard Lee. Survived by her sister Margaret Couse; as well as several nieces, nephews, and their families. Barb was predeceased by her parents Basil and Elsie (née Pickles) Ramsay; and in-laws Donald Couse, Thomas and Agnes Lee, and Charles and Alice Ellis.
To those who knew her, she was the personification of loving kindness. She was a hardworking, resourceful spouse and mother who loved family and travel. Even in her later years, she maintained a sense of humour and always had a smile for you.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff in the Byron Neighbourhood at The Village of Glendale Crossing for their compassion, kindness and support.
A memorial service will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation the hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners or a charity of your choice would be gratefully accepted by the family.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Barb. Her positive outlook and integrity made her a joy to work with. She was so well respected within the London Board of Education, and she helped countless students. Losing a loved one to dementia is so hard; I hope you can hold on to the memories of who she truly was - a lovely person who made the world a better place.
