Glenn and Carol, My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. I have very fond memories of your Mom and of time spent with her both inside and outside the Sociology Department. She was like a second Mother and a big sister all rolled into one. She had a positive influence on my life and will be missed. I hope your happy memories of your Mom will stay with you for many days to come . Sincerely, Francine Rubin (former graduate student - Sociology Department)
Carol and Glenn -- Thanks for giving me the opportunity to visit with your Mom in the hospital. Will miss our outings - shopping/lunching. Take care. Sylvia
I would like to add my condolences at this time. On the death of a parent, there is a sense of loss that can only become over time, but as time moves on, you will truly realise the nuturing and guidance they provided for one's own journey.
Carol and Glenn, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Carol and Glenn -- I worked with your Mom at the University for 10 years and we were good friends (1971-81). I have very fond memories of this dear lady who was like a second "Mom" to all the grad. students in Sociology. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Dear Carol and Glenn, Marilyn and I worked with your Mom for many years and spent many hours chatting with her. She was a wonderful, warm lady who cared deeply for students and was a great friend to us and many others. We are so sorry to hear that she has left us and send you our deepest sympathy.
Dear Carol and Glenn, We were sad to hear of your mother's passing. We both knew her through the UWO Sociology department. She had a significant impact on the lives of many students, and professors and staff always found her warm and approachable. Our deepest sympathies.
Dear Carol and Glenn, On behalf of the Department of Sociology, I wanted to pass on our condolences. Audrey was a wonderful colleague and friend who contributed much to our department over her many years of service. As graduate secretary, she was so supportive of the students, and quick to share her good sense of humour and expertise to help everyone along.
Dear Carol and Glenn, Your mother was such a presence in the Sociology Department, always friendly, helpful and especially caring of graduate students. As Graduate Secretary, she carried the program almost from the beginning, growing it into a Ph.D program. She was always very interested in students from Canada and around the world, maintaining contacts long after their graduation. Her long and dedicated service is remembered with much fondness. Rod and Liz Beaujot
One of the very best retirement parties we had in sociology was the one the students and faculty of the Department organized for Audrey. It was a big and emotional night, and I think that it worked so well because it was done from the heart for someone who always gave from the heart. We will miss you Audrey.
Carol and Glenn, I worked with your mother for many years. One of my best memories of Audrey was the time she organized a collection of household goods for our first graduate student from China. Certainly above and beyond her job description. She cared very much for all her graduate students. A strong woman who showed us younger staff the ropes, she will be fondly remembered.
