Arvind Singh
1965-2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Arvind Singh, on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Arvind is predeceased by his father, Gulab Singh; brother, Anil Singh and his beloved wife, Naphaphone “Natalie” Singh. He is survived by his mother, Sursati Singh and his siblings, Kamlesh (Chamantak Lal), Usha Wati (Mahen Prasad), Sunil Singh, Sanjila Wati (Naren Prasad), Manjula (Ved Prakash), Anjila (Uday Deo), Pravin (Ramila) Singh and Navin (Jynette) Singh.

Arvind will be dearly missed by his children, Gloria (Todd) Devitt, Eric Singh and Andrew Singh; his grandchildren, Kyra Singh, Corey Devitt and Clara Devitt and his many nieces and nephews.

Arvind was born in Suva, Fiji Islands. In 1987, he travelled to Canada for vacation. Here, he fell in love and began a new chapter. He primarily resided in the Greater Toronto Area. In 2017, he relocated to London, Ontario, to be closer to his grandchildren.

Those who knew Arvind knew that he was a huge sports fan, particularly soccer. His passion and love for the sport, along with his desire to help others, lead Arvind to be an exemplary volunteer and community member. He would volunteer countless hours, coaching many children to play soccer, organizing tournaments, refereeing games and being an executive member of the Malton Soccer Club. He was a big supporter of his children, always encouraging them to do their best and spent countless hours at soccer fields, swimming pools and skating rinks.

Arvind has always been a kind soul. He was always willing to lend a helping hand even to those he didn’t know. He would pack extra food, offer rides, and even pay for yearly membership fees and equipment, simply because he didn’t want these children to miss out. He believed that they all had the potential to be great, to do great things. His actions speak for themselves. He always believed that if you are able to help, you should help, and that this would make the world a little bit kinder.

We will miss his amazing lamb curry, seeing him play with the grandchildren at Gibbons Park and seeing his smiles as Kyra, Corey and Clara greeted him with excitement each day. Kyra, Corey and Clara will forever miss their “Baba.”

A private visitation and funeral service will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Private cremation and burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
