Arthur Westgate

Peacefully with family at his side, Paul passed away in his 88th year on Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 to be with our Lord and join his beloved wife Anne. He was a tireless worker starting with life on a farm in Watford as one of thirteen children to Alex and Cora Westgate. He proudly served his country during the Second World War before settling down with Anne to raise their children on a farm in Tait’s Corners. He finished his working career with the Department of Highway Ontario as a Patrol Supervisor in Woodstock and Aylmer. Paul is survived by his four children, Alvin and his wife Cathy of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia; Louise and her husband Byron of Tillsonburg; John and his wife Barb of London; George and his wife Ann of Scarborough; ten grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Nathan, Ian, Amaris, Daniel, Chad, Martha, Benjamin and Marion; and four great-grandchildren, Kyra, Owen, Brandon and Teague. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, 1350 Huron Street, London, on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery, Glencoe. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the St. Alban’s “Memorial Fund” or Veteran’s Care at Parkwood Hospital. It is by the grace of God that I am informed of the ascension of the soul of the father of the SONS CEO into Jesus' eternal kingdom. My thoughts and prayers are with the defenders and helpers of his companions and loved ones at this very sensitive time.
