Arthur ‘Art’ Michael Lenehan

After a brief illness, Arthur (Art) Michael Lenehan, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the age of 66.
He was the loving husband to Nancy Lenehan (Watson) and a proud father to Louie and Michelle. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Mary-Joe Lenehan. Eldest brother to Barb, Steve, Tom, Peggy, Cathy, Karen, Matt, Chris, Lou, Bob, and Rick. Loving nephew of Margaret Lenehan.
Art was always an avid sports enthusiast and loved playing and watching sports of all kinds. He is fondly remembered as “Eight” by his former baseball teammates and friends. Art enjoyed many years of golf and had great memories of playing with friends and his wife. He was a member of the Highland Country Club and enjoyed all the friendships he made during his time there.
Art was dedicated to his career and was a talented and accomplished businessman. He was co-founder of Preferred Insurance Group, attaining the title of president and CEO prior to his retirement.
Arthur enjoyed everything that life had to offer, but what he cherished most was time with his family. He was loved and will be remembered for the many lives he touched throughout his various walks of life.
The family would like to extend its gratitude to the Palliative Care Team who cared for him during his illness. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive guests at a Celebration of Life being held at Highland Golf & Country Club, 1922 Highland Heights, London, on Saturday, April 9, 2022 between 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Art are asked to consider Childcan.

Dear Nancy and Family, Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Artie. We had many great times together over the years and relived them each year at The Spark. He was just a great guy to be around. RIP my friend.

Dear Nancy, Louie and Michelle; My deepest condolences to you and your extended family. This is heartbreaking and so sad. We shared many great accomplishments, and there are a lot of wonderful memories. You have been in my thoughts continuously throughout the battle, and during this very sad and difficult time. Art will be missed by me, and so many more.

We both have many great memories of golfing and socializing with Art at Highland. The weekly Wednesday men's league game that Mike Boehm, Gary Young and I played with Art will be missed. Nancy, Lou and Michelle , I am so sorry to hear of Art's passing as yo know we spent lots of time together playing ball against each other, coaching Lou and Matt and of course on the golf course over the last few years. He was truly one of the Good Ones who will be missed by everyone he touched. i know that he loved and cherished you. his memory will be close forever.

Nancy I am so sorry to hear that Art has passed. We had great fun working together and playing racquetball. He was such a great guy, I know you and all of his friends and family will miss him tremendously.
