Angela Marie Arnsby

March 17, 2013

At the age of 46, died peacefully in her London home on Sunday, March 17th, 2013, in the presence of her family after a short illness with cancer.

Angela’s inseparable best friend of 20 years, Tim Pountney, and sister Sarah Arnsby-Fairclough were with her in her home every day to care for and love her with the incredible support of her family.  Angela truly was at peace and knew she was loved by all of those around her.  Everybody should feel her love and appreciation for such a peaceful passing at home in her favourite place.

Angela is the daughter of the late Barbara (Williams) Arnsby (1995) and Phil Arnsby and his wife Elaine. Beloved sister of Teresa (Doug) Arnsby Weaver, Sarah Arnsby-Fairclough, Brian Arnsby and sister-in-law of Kalon Fairclough. Step-sister of Megan (Ian) Whiteside and Cole Machon. Dear aunt of Elizabeth Birchall, Abigail Arnsby and Lachlan Fairclough. She will also be missed by aunts and uncles Jerry (Lois) Arnsby, Michael (Evelyn) Arnsby and Rose Marie (nee Williams) (Peter) Pistor as well as her many cousins, friends and her two Maltese dogs:  Jack and Benny.

Everyone associated with THE HEALTH NETWORK and KARMAYOGA love and miss you.   Angela was known as a retired RMT, an 800 hour trained yoga teacher, stained glass/paint/pencil artist, pet activist, healing therapy practitioner, a former Miss London and professional model, a dreamer and visionary and the purest and most honest, caring friend that anyone could wish for.  Her dreams and goals have made a positive difference in over 400 associates through her business.  “Your dreams have all come true and you are safe at home now.”  We all take comfort in knowing you’re happy and at peace.  Angela would appreciate seeing everyone together for this last gathering.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, London on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Angela, your loss will forever change me and all of those around us.  We spoke of this on a couple of occasions and I know Angela would be pleased if you would make a donation in memory of her love and appreciation of children to Fresh Start Maternity Supports, 118 Centre Street, St. Thomas N5R 2Z9.

I did not know Angela personally. I am getting to know much about her now. Her unique ability to engage people, to model for them a direction to a heightened sense of what really matters, to be genuine and express genuine emotions, to let little things go. The respect and admiration I hear from those close to me who knew her well, says that her family and friends have lost someone very special but also that her inspiration as a guide will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone fortunate enough to have known her then or learn from her now. My sincere condolences to all who are pained by Angela's untimely death.

~ Mary Shepherd-Ennis

Angela truly was an Angel among us. Her energy and positive attitude always brightened my day. I will miss and remember her always. My deepest sympathies to all.

I first met Angela when she joined our trip to a Dominican Republic Orphanage. Angela added a ray of light to our group, and the kids at the orphanage. She was the type of person that in 5 minutes, you liked, trusted, and wanted to spend more time with. She spent some real quality time with the children in the DR that week and left them with a beautiful mural that she painted on the wall of the library. Our thoughts are with those closest to Angela. You are blessed to have had her in your lives.

This is truly our loss. On many occassions I had the great privilege of discussing philosophy, spirituality, and art with the amazing Ms. Arnsby, and each time I left our talks having learned something. Ange seemed to find great joy in helping others grow, and watching as people surprised themselves. I have this great sense of missing her, because now, that time in the future when we would speak again will never come. Now I will relish those talks we did have, and I am humbled by the grace that our kinhearted friend shared so freely. Miss you Boss. Stay well Tim and the Network Family.

Condolences to the family! It was like yesterday when I first met Angela on the tennis court, she took me to my first Canadian open tournament in Toronto, where we got to see Bjorn Borg practice hit. We clung onto the fence, just so amazed how close he was to us!! Though it was so long ago, it seems like it was just yesterday.....us swimming and enjoying a hit of tennis, with lots of giggles.!! Rest in peace Angela, Love Maria and family. My husband Dean also sends his condolences to the family!

I have a lot of great memories with Ang. We had a lot of laughs together. she was my best friend for many yrs and it saddens me that we didn't keep in touch as much as I wanted over the yrs. We just ran into each other a few months back and talked about having lunch together and never did. Time just gets away from you. She'll always be in my heart. Big hugs to you all.

She was a remarkable person and my thoughts are with her family and friends.
