Andrew ‘Andy’ Ivan Pauley
July 8, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew ‘Andy’ Ivan Pauley announces his passing on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at the age of 63. He will be deeply missed by his wife Jackie (née Armstrong), and his three children, Shaun (Eunju), Kendra (John), and Rachael. His greatest pride and joy was spending time with his three grandchildren: Claire & Elijah Pauley, and Kellen Ennis. He will also be missed by his mother, Isabel Pauley, of Port Elgin, New Brunswick; his two sisters, Sharon (David) Trainor and Cindy Blacklock; and by many nieces and nephews. Andy was predeceased by his father, Ivan Pauley, and his nephew, Nathan Trainor, both in 1998. Andy was born on December 1, 1956 in Sackville, New Brunswick. At age 17, he left the east coast to pursue a mechanical engineering degree at Western University in London, Ontario. Andy loved gardening, reading science fiction novels, and playing cards, but his greatest love of all was playing with his treasured grandchildren, whether it was running around the backyard with a wheelbarrow full of kids, building snow forts, catching fireflies, or just sitting in his chair to read their favourite stories. Those closest to Andy will remember his love for helping others, his passion for nachos, chips and ice cream, and his never-ending stream of dad jokes. A private funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London with his immediate family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Andy are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society or the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Andy always made us feel welcome in their home. He was a great brother-in-law;never a bad word about anyone. We will miss him dearly.
I first met Andy in 2011 when we acquired Hetek Solutions Inc. Right away, Andy struck me as one of the most intelligent people I had ever met. Over the years, his enthusiasm, thirst for knowledge, curiosity, kindness, and ubiquitous willingness to share his experience made him an integral part of Hetek's growth and, more importantly, a good friend to all who passed through our doors. He will be sorely missed and on behalf of everyone at Hetek, we send our condolences and prayers to his family.

I had the pleasure of working/interacting with Andy while we were both working and as we started "retirement". We had many discussions over a breakfast meeting while he was in Calgary working. We discussed family, politics and just had a good chat each time we met. He was a great wealth of knowledge and I will miss our talks and emails. He will be missed. Rest in Peace. All the best to the family, I know he loved you all dearly. Darcy

I will greatly miss my dear brother-in-law. Our families had many fun times together over the years and our children have fond memories of their "uncle Andy". To me Andy was the smartest person I knew besides having an incredible memory. He never forgot a thing he read in a book. We had wonderful conversations. He was a good listener so you could always have a two-way conversation with him. I learned a lot from him. He was a precious human being and died too young. My heart goes out to his children, grandchildren and my sister. I wish I could be with you at this sad time. Love you all. â¤ï¸

I worked along side Andy for 11 years at Hetek Solutions and shared many conversations with him about life and the problems facing the world. He had a great sense of humor and always spoke very fondly of his family. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I would like to express my most sincere condolences to his loved ones.
We are saddened by Andy's passing and offer our sincere condolences to you Jackie and your family and others who loved and were loved by Andy. I recall when Andy was a teenager and he read everything available and suggested he might become a writer. No doubt he would have been a success based on his penchant for facts. But his love for facts, science and math drew him to a career in engineering where he spent many years and enjoyed his work. Andy enjoyed everything in life - his wife Jackie , his children and for sure his grandchildren. All will miss him . May he rest in peace ðŸ™.
