Alice ‘Pinky’ Lyons

On September 20, 2023, Alice “Pinky” Lyons passed away peacefully in Goderich, Ontario, to join her beloved husband, Thomas (Tiger) Lyons.

Loving mother to Marilyn (David) Egerton and Wayne (Heather) Lyons. Proud grandmother to Derek (Nicole) Egerton, Craig (Melissa) Egerton, Sarah Egerton, Haley (Andrew) Whitelaw, and Spencer (Sara Vine) Lyons. Cherished great-gramma to Nahla, Kaiya, Carter, Hanna and Logan.

Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, on March 19, 1923, Pinky is predeceased by her parents John and Annie Robertson and her siblings Tom, Cecil, Viola and Margaret. Pinky married Tiger on October 23, 1939, in Kingston, Ontario. She held the rank of Corporal in the Canadian Armed Forces while Tiger, Regimental Sergeant Major, was sent overseas immediately after their wedding. Pinky recently celebrated her 100th birthday with family & friends at Harbour Hill Retirement Community in Goderich, where she enjoyed wonderful care and friendship from the welcoming residents & staff.

To honour Pinky’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment was held at St. Peter’s Cemetery in London, Ontario. A family Celebration of Life is planned. She will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
