Peacefully, surrounded by family at University Hospital, London, on Saturday, October 6, 2012, Alexander Matheson MacDonald, of London, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Catherine MacDonald. Loving father of Dr. Steven MacDonald and his wife Karen, and Gary MacDonald. Adored by his grandchildren: Matthew, Brett and Lauren. Dear brother of Donald (Merdina) MacDonald, Charles (Isobel) MacDonald and John (Caroline) MacDonald, and dear brother-in-law of Elizabeth Speirs and Bernard Muir. A memorial service will be conducted at West London Alliance Church, 750 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Lyall Mix officiating. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Alexander are asked to consider Compassion Canada (www.compassion.ca).

Cathy and your family, please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband and father. We go back to the days of Sherwood Forest Shoppers Cathy when Tricia worked for you while she was continuing her education, we lost touch when you moved to 1 Grosvenor Place. We lost Ted on December 8th, 2011, so can completely sympathize and empathize with your sorrow, things do get better with time, a lot of time. God Bless.
