Donald Edward Brophy

Don died peacefully at Arbor Trace Care Home with his wife Carolyn (née Wheeler) at his side on Saturday, March 29, 2025.  He and Carolyn were happily married for 65 years.  He was the loving father of Hal (Kimberly) and Pamela (Don Kendall), grandfather of Stephen (Hailie), Kevin and Erin Brophy and Nicole Kendall; great-grandfather of Jack and Helena Brophy; and step-grandfather of Andrew and Myles Kendall.

Don was born in Montreal on April 19, 1932 to Jack and Irene Brophy.  He attended Loyola High School and College and embarked on a career in Human Resources; first in Montreal and then in Toronto, where he moved with the family in 1966.  He and Carolyn later moved to London, Ontario for their retirement years.

Don was devoted to his family and was a kind and thoughtful man with a wry sense of humour.  He loved all kinds of music and dancing with his wife.  He and Carolyn enjoyed travelling in North America and abroad during their retirement years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arbor Trace for their compassionate care, love and affection for Don over the last year and a half of his life.

Cremation has already taken place and a family memorial is being held.
